Qi deficiency, blood deficiency, and qi and blood deficiency conditioning in five steps!
发布时间:2025-03-21  浏览次数:0

Qi and blood are the most fundamental substances that maintain human life activities. When qi and blood are abundant, the body is healthy. As the saying goes, "Qi is the commander of blood, and blood is the mother of qi." Qi and blood influence and depend on each other. If either of them is deficient, it will have a certain impact on health. **Deficiency of Qi** Most people with qi deficiency are caused by insufficient production or excessive consumption in the body. The main manifestations include mental fatigue, weakness, easy dizziness, poor resistance, and so on. **Deficiency of Blood** Those with blood deficiency are mostly caused by excessive blood loss, prolonged illness, and depletion. The main manifestations are pale complexion, dizziness, palpitations, emaciation, etc. **Deficiency of Both Qi and Blood** People with deficiency of both qi and blood mostly show symptoms such as palpitations, dreaminess, pale complexion, numbness of the limbs, dry skin, etc. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) believes that when yin and yang are in harmony, qi and blood are vigorous, and the meridians are unobstructed, there will be no diseases. Therefore, nourishing sufficient qi and blood is of great significance to human health. It can be regulated through the following five steps: **I. Regulate the Spleen and Stomach** The spleen and stomach are the source of qi and blood production. In *Miraculous Pivot: On the Formation of Qi and Blood*, it is believed that blood is produced through the transportation and transformation functions of the spleen and stomach. Therefore, when treating blood syndromes, it is necessary to pay attention to regulating the spleen and stomach. In terms of dietary regulation, you can eat more ingredients that invigorate the spleen and benefit the stomach, such as pumpkin, Chinese yam, lotus seeds, hyacinth bean, coix seed, etc. In addition, you can also decoct and take "Shenqi Zhucha" (Ginseng, Astragalus, Atractylodes Macrocephala Tea): take 5 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 5 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, 3 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala, 3 grams of Chinese yam, and 3 grams of Cimicifuga foetida. Take 400 grams of their decoction, soak 5 grams of flower tea, and drink it until the taste becomes faint. It has the effects of invigorating the spleen and qi, ascending yang, and stopping diarrhea. **II. Nourish Liver Blood** According to TCM, "Liver depression leads to spleen deficiency." The liver stores blood and is responsible for regulating the flow of qi, which helps the transportation and transformation functions of the spleen and stomach. Therefore, nourishing liver blood is also a very important step in regulating qi and blood. An irritable and angry mood can damage the liver and spleen, leading to the consumption of qi and blood. So we should avoid getting angry and staying up late, pay more attention to sleep. Moreover, "long-term gazing injures blood." People who often use their eyes also need to pay attention to eye care to prevent the consumption of qi and blood. **III. Consume Medicinal Diets** Using medicinal diets to tonify qi and blood is a common method, and the effect is relatively quick. To tonify qi, you can eat "Four Gentlemen Decoction" (Sijunzi Tang). Take 10 grams of ginseng, 9 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala, 9 grams of Poria cocos, and 6 grams of roasted Licorice, and stew them with mutton. To tonify blood, you can use "Four Substances Decoction" (Siwu Tang). Take 9 grams each of Paeonia lactiflora, Angelica sinensis, Rehmannia glutinosa, and Chuanxiong, put them in 250 milliliters of water, and decoct until there is 150 milliliters left, then take it warm on an empty stomach. (This article aims at popular science, and patients should use drugs under the guidance of a physician.) In addition, among traditional Chinese medicines, there are many excellent products that can tonify qi and nourish blood. For example, Angelica sinensis, Chuanxiong rhizome, Rehmannia glutinosa, Lycium barbarum, Astragalus membranaceus, etc., all have very good effects of regulating the body and tonifying qi and blood. **IV. Keep Away from Cold Pathogens** According to TCM, "Blood moves when it gets warm and congeals when it gets cold." Cold pathogens can cause blood stasis, leading to unsmooth meridians and hindered production of qi and blood, which will cause great harm to our body. We should pay attention to keeping away from cold pathogens. Keep warm in winter, and don't be overly fond of cold in summer. Often soak your feet in warm water and do some massages, which are very beneficial to the body. **V. Do More Exercise** Exercise is very important for physical health. We all know that people who often exercise have a ruddy and glossy complexion and look full of vitality. This is because exercise helps the spleen and stomach transform nutrients into qi and blood for the body's use, and it can also unblock the meridians and make qi and blood abundant. When choosing exercise, it is best to choose some slow exercises. Avoid strenuous exercise, such as jogging, swimming, ball games, yoga, Tai Chi, etc. This is more beneficial to physical health. When qi is sufficient, blood is abundant. When qi and blood are vigorous and the meridians are unobstructed, there will be no diseases. Therefore, qi and blood are also an essential part of the health preservation process and are of vital importance to physical health.
